After the 2019 Türi-Tori Downriver Race, we shared an idea in the sauna to assemble the first female team for the Gauja XXL relay race (380 km) in Latvia.
On the way to Latvia, we discovered a common dream to participate in the Yukon River Quest 715 km in Canada, and this was the moment when our duo was born…

I am Anette Baum — a competitive athlete, a physician, and active member of the HUUM SAUNA Kayak Team, the Estonian Canoeing Federation, and the Kayak Realm Sports Club.
Driven by a desire to explore and experience as much as possible, I’ve challenged myself across several canoeing and kayaking disciplines. I’m especially drawn to long-distance events, where mental resilience often matters just as much — if not more — than physical strength.
I’m curious about how processes work in detail, yet I always try to keep the bigger picture in focus — applying my knowledge, skills, experience, and observations in the best possible way in everything I do.
